Bonded bushes
What are bonded rubber bushes?
Fully bonded bushes consist of rubber bonded between two concentric steel sleeves, sometimes referred to as races. The bush is designed to accommodate small torsional, conical and axial movements and endure radial loads.
The moulded part subsequently undergoes sizing and pre-compression to your specification which pre-stresses the rubber and improves the duty of the bush.
As with all rubber bearings, the bush accommodates misalignment, provides noise and vibration isolation and protects from shock loads.
Aegis Rubber Engineering designs and manufactures a full range of bonded bushes. We have a wealth of experience working with customers to develop bespoke solutions for any application. Our team of technical experts can help you find the ideal solution to suit your product’s needs, so get in touch today if you would like more information or download our bonded bush datasheet.
