Polyurethane wheels and rollers
Polyurethane (PU) is used for a wide range of mechanical and cosmetic applications. Formulations exist with excellent abrasion resistance making PU an ideal material for tyres, drive gears and slipping bushes.
Cast polyurethane is often used for bespoke applications due to the lower tooling costs associated with this method of manufacture. Polyurethanes have typically higher hardness and tensile strength than normal engineering elastomers. There are many types to choose from in order to achieve challenging mechanical requirements.
Polyurethane is available in many proprietary specifications. It can be chemically bonded to various substrates and is available in a range of colours.
